Chilliwack, BC- On June 15, 2012, the Chilliwack RCMP were made aware of a disturbing theft that occurred some time between February 3, 2012 and March 10, 2012. The 63 year old victim of this theft had her motorized scooter stolen which is specifically designed for disabled persons. This item was taken from her residence while she was in hospital recovering from severe injuries she sustained in a car accident. The victim alerted police after she had spoken to all of her friends and family members to ensure that none of them had removed the scooter.

Jesse White turned himself to Lower Mainland police and is set to appear in Sechelt on two warrants of arrest.

Chilliwack, BC- On June 14, 2012, the Chilliwack Crime Reduction Unit arrested a man who fled from police on foot after being stopped and questioned about his involvement in a residence where drug trafficking had been suspected. Kane Wilson, 38 of Surrey has been charged with two counts of Possession for the purpose of trafficking, Possession of a controlled substance, Carry a weapon or prohibited device and Wilfully resisting or obstructing a peace officer.

Since the release was issued on June 7th asking for the public’s assistance in locating Mijia Du, Du has contacted her family members has advised them of her whereabouts that she is safe sound.

Chilliwack, BC- This weekend, the Little Mountain area was home to an end of year party that saw more than 200 youths gather to drink and celebrate the end of the school year. The youths brought their own strobe light and music to entertain the crowd.

On Thursday, June 14, 2012 between 5:30 and 6:30 AM, a yellow John Deere 135 D excavator was stolen. The excavator (as pictured) was parked in a gated construction site at 1172 West 15th Street, North Vancouver and is valued at $178,000.00.

On June 6th, 2012 the Surrey RCMP’s Property Crime Unit apprehended a suspect believed to be responsible for committing a series of recent smart phone thefts in Surrey.

The Sunshine Coast RCMP is requesting assistance from the public in locating Christine Sharp, who went missing from St. Mary’s Hospital on June 4th.

Hope, BC: The Hope RCMP have been out on their bicycles pro-actively patrolling the downtown area. During the month of May, the Hope RCMP were educating the community and issuing warnings to people specifically for not wearing their helmets while riding their bikes. From now on, however, they will be distributing tickets for all bicycle infractions.

A career criminal that went on a prolific property crime spree and was eventually caught by Surrey Mounties was sentenced today at a hearing in Surrey Provincial Court.

Chilliwack, BC: In recent months, the Lower Mainland District Integrated Forensic Identification Services has been working diligently alongside the UFVRD RCMP to identify suspects to combat property crime and put those responsible in jail. Recently, they were successful in locating a fingerprint from inside one of the many victim vehicles and was able to positively identify a suspect, who is a Chilliwack Prolific Offender.

Lianjie GUO is a Chinese National, who was visiting family in Canada with her husband and were supposed to return to China on June 7, 2012.

On June 5, 2012, the Chilliwack RCMP Crime Reduction Unit (CRU) executed a search warrant under the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act at two residences on Nowell Street in downtown Chilliwack that were suspected of being used to traffic drugs. As a result of those searches investigators have recovered a large quantity of illegal drugs, cash believed to be related to drug trafficking, a firearm, a number of dangerous or prohibited weapons as well as an explosive device.
